  1. AIFF to get 134 crores from the 2023-24 season, a 54% hike from last year

Notably, for the 2022-2023 season, AIFF’s budget was just 87 crores. The hiked amount could help improve infrastructure, facilities for the players and much more.

2. PSG give a deadline to Mbappe to decide on his future

Earlier in June, Kylian Mbappe presented a shock to the PSG management after the French national sent a mail stating that he would not renew his contract in 2024.

The 24-year-old has remarked that he would stay at PSG for another season and not leave the club this season. However, the management is sweating hard because they cannot let Kylian leave for free next year.

In the latest events, the board has reportedly given a deadline for Mbappe to renew his contract by July 31. Otherwise, they will put him up for sale because they cannot let him leave for free.

After India won the SAFF championship, every Indian star player hogged the internet for their performance but midfielder Jeakson Singh made the news for the wrong reasons, as he got questioned about the flag he wrapped around his shoulder for the entire award presentation.

On July 5, AIFF and Jeakson cleared the air and remarked that it was a ‘Salai Taret’ flag depicting the Meitei ethnicity from Manipur. In the official Tweet posted by AIFF, it read that Jeakson wants the two-month-long violence in Manipur to end and for peace to be restored.
